The Apartment is adjacent to a traditional stone built cottages which is also available to rent. The Apartment can be hired as supplementary accomodation to the main cottage. Suitable for families with extended family holidaying with them. The Apartment is very cosy and comes with electric storage heaters, traditional Waterford multifuel stove and all electric kitchen with laundry facilities.
Kitchen and bathroom are separate and the entire apartment is beautifully completed.
There is terrestrial TV and a DVD player.
The apartment contains a shower in the bathroom as opposed to a bath.
Pinewood is within walking distance of Kilcrohane village. The last coastal village on the Sheep's Head Peninsula after Durrus and Ahakista, it lies under the 'Shadow of Seefin' - the area's highest hill and overlooking Dunmanus Bay and not far from Caher Mountain. Kilcrohane is renowned for its beautiful coastline, idyllic views and scenic hill walking routes.
Kilcrohane is a lively and vibrant seaside village whose population swells in the busy summer months. It has two pubs, an all year round Cafe Gallery, 3 restaurants and a coffee shop (open in July and August). The local shop is a post office and Filling Station. There is also a local co-operative shop (open year round) selling local produce, arts and crafts and a garage/repair shop that also rents out bicycles. There is a cafe at the very end of the Peninsula - open from March through October.
The Kilcrohane pier is popular swimming place and there are numerous private coves dotted along the coast. The water is clear and a beautiful place for swimming. There is an abundance of pollock and mackerel in Dunmanus Bay.
There is also a community field and hall and a children's playground with tennis court.
An immediate non-refundable booking deposit of €100 is required to secure booking. The balance of the payment is required not less than 6 weeks before arrival date.
The charge for electricity is pay by use and is charged at 10 cents per unit for night heating and 20 cents per unit for domestic usage.
When the rental of the house is for longer than one week, cleaning of the house during rental may be requested from the on-site manager and a fee may apply.

Cots and highchairs must be pre-ordered.
A refundable security deposit of €150 must be paid to the supervisor/caretaker on arrival. The deposit will be refunded once the supervisor is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been compiled with. It is expected that the homes be left in a clean & tidy condition on departing. All rubbish should be gathered and stored in suitable plastic bags. Failure to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition may result in the loss of security deposit. When a rental is for longer than one week, cleaning of the house during rental must be requested from the on-site manager and a fee may apply.
