These exclusive holiday homes are part of the demense of Dunkerron castle, the original 13th century stronghold of the O'Sullivan Mor family.The development comprises 20 detached houses. There are 3 & 4 bedroom options available. The houses which are architecturally designed based on the Kenmare style house which is typical of the area.
The houses are characterised by their steep intersecting dormer roofs, with covered verandah, strong overhanging eaves and Queen Post Roof Truss gables, with finial details to the ridges. This reflects the origins of the style, which was often used on individual lodges in Kenmare and the vicinity. At the same time, they are detailed in a more contemporary manner than their Victorian predecessors, being presented in a simple restrained manner. The interior of the houses are designed to offer interconnecting open plan living accommodation, while the large dormer bedrooms are full of the charm and feel of a true estate lodge.
The houses have three bathrooms.
Downstairs have a sitting room which is seperated from the dining area by a large pillar. The kitchen and dining room is open plan.
There is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom on the ground floor.
The first floor has two bedrooms and two bathrooms: One double ensuite, one twin room (two single beds) and a family bathroom.

Towels are available by request at €3 per set during the off peak months (Oct - April). From May 1st - Sep 30th they are provided as part of your rental.
