Doolin Centre Lodges in Doolin are located in the heart of the village close to all pubs and restaurants. Doolin is a charming village set against the rugged Atlantic Ocean coastline and surrounded by the spectacular Burren limestone landscape. Long hailed as the traditional music capital of Ireland Doolins traditional pubs, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting make it the ideal location to relax and unwind, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This attractive group of holiday cottages in Doolin, on the West coast of Clare, are situated in the grounds of the Tir gan Éan hotel (the hotel is currently closed). They are right beside Doolin’s attractive crafts shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants.
There is a double bedroom and separate bathroom with bath and a full over bath shower at the ground level. Upstairs there are 2 dormer large bedrooms. One is a double and the other a twin room. There is another separate shared shower room at this level.
The houses are ideally located. The village with pubs, shops etc is just 1.5 km and the sandy swimming beach at Fanore a short drive away (15km), while the closest shore is just 1km.
The famous Cliffs of Moher are a mere 10 minutes drive while a trip to the Aran Islands from Doolin Pier is a must. There is a beautiful blue flag beach at Fanore (15 minutes drive) and the rugged Burren landscape is a geological wonder waiting to be explored.
Doolin is on the West Coast of Clare where the Atlantic Ocean rolls in.
This location is ideal for families as a base to tour West Clare and the famous Burren region. There are regular ferry services to the Aran Islands and the nearby Cliffs of Moher from the village pier.
The mouth of the River Shannon is home to Ireland’s only resident community of bottlenose dolphins numbering approximately 100 members. The estuary provides the dolphins wth a rich source of food and a safe habitat for mothers and calves and is one of only six such breeding communities in Europe. The local dolphin watch tours boast a sighting rate of 98% during the months of May to August and operate from the towns of Kilrush and Carrigaholt.
Doolin has its own excellent nine hole pitch ‘n putt course and Lahinch’s two golf Courses – the Old Course and the Castle Course are locted just a 20 minute drive away.
Doolin is centrally located on the Burren Way Walking Route which is a 26 mile (42 km) signposted walking trail from the town of Liscannor, along by the Cliffs of Moher, on to Doolin and into Ballyvaughan.
The Doolin Cave System was first discovered in 1953 and is over 10.5 km in length incorporating many active underground rivers flowing through the limestone. Guided trips can be arranged locally. Doolin Cave will open Saturday the 21st February and will be open every sat thereafter from 11am to 4pm.
This has become a very popular activity in Doolin and the area boasts some of the best diving on the West Coast of Ireland including a network of sub-marine caves off Doolin Point.
The Buren is an ideal region to discover on horseback and there are many options available including beach trails.
An immediate non-refundable booking deposit of €100 per property is required to secure booking. The balance of the payment is required not less than 6 weeks before arrival date.
The charge for utilities is €6 per day in June, July, August & September and €11 for all other months (oil central heating). Electricity is charged on a meter reading basis throughout the year, payable onsite.
All bedding and bed linen with the exception of cot bedding and cot linen is provided free of charge. When a property is being rented for more than one week clients may liaise directly with the caretaker if fresh bed linen is required. A nominal fee may apply for these additional services.
Towels are not provided as standard. If guests would prefer not to bring their own they are available at an additional charge. One set of towels to include one hand towel and one bath towel is available at a charge of €4.50 per set (1 Bath Towel and 1 Hand Towel), payable onsite.
Cots and highchairs must be pre-ordered. Every effort will be made to provide these items but guests should remind the caretaker of their request when calling to make arrangements for checking in. There is a charge of €10 per item reserved, payable onsite.
A refundable security deposit of €150 must be paid to the supervisor/caretaker on arrival. The deposit will be refunded once the supervisor is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been compiled with. It is expected that the homes be left in a clean & tidy condition on departing. All rubbish should be gathered and stored in suitable plastic bags.
Failure to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition may result in the loss of security deposit. When a rental is for longer than one week, cleaning of the house during rental must be requested from the on-site manager and a fee may apply. For Bank Holiday weekends the security deposit increases to €500. This is handled by way of a pre-authorized payment (not collected). There will be no claim on this amount once the terms of the rental have been complied with and the house has been left as it should be.
